Celebration fit for the queen

McCarthy Stone’s Matcham Grange Retirement Living Plus development on Wetherby Road was the place to be last Week as the residents threw a very special celebration that was truly “fit for a Queen” in honour of her majesty’s Jubilee.

Friends, family and locals from across Harrogate joined the residents and team at Matcham Grange for a fun-filled afternoon in the development’s communal lounge. Those who came along enjoyed food, drinks and live musical entertainment as they shared in this extraordinary moment.

Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales Director for McCarthy Stone Northern, said:

The Queen’s Jubilee is a truly historic occasion, and it was fantastic to see so many locals in attendance to share our celebrations here at Matcham Grange.

It was fascinating to hear some of our homeowners reminisce about the Queen’s Coronation all those 70 years ago too. Everyone who came along had a fantastic time, it was clear to see everyone enjoyed socialising and celebrating what was a truly special day.

Kelly Cooper, Estates Manager at Matcham Grange says:

Everybody really enjoyed the Jubilee event at Matcham Grange. It was fantastic to get together and celebrate such a momentous occasion, as well as hear some of the truly wonderful stories people had to share about the Queen. I’d like to say a huge thank you to McCarthy Stone for putting on such a lovely event – it was a great day.
