A group of racing enthusiasts have swapped their driving gloves for microphones as part of a charity fundraiser and are steering their way to success up the iTunes charts.

The Autograss Allstars are 75 dirt track car racers from across the country who have stepped out of their comfort zone on the race track to enter the recording studio to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

Crews recently attended a house fire in the Harrogate area during the early hours of the morning. There were working smoke alarms that woke the family and they managed to get out.

Staff members from Specsavers in Harrogate have gone above and beyond to make sure their skills and expertise reach as many people as possible around the globe, by heading to Africa to deliver essential eye care to those in need.

Charlotte Morgan and Caroline Clarke, two optometrists from the store on Beulah Street, were part of a team who headed to Ethiopia as part of a Vision Aid Overseas initiative.

Biker guilty of perverting the course of justice after covering number plate

A 55-year-old man from Bolton has appeared at Bradford Crown Court today (Friday 16 March 2018) and pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and exceeding the speed limit.

On Sunday 2 July 2017 at around 11.45am Geoffrey Alan Davies of Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Bolton was captured travelling at 86 miles per hour by a North Yorkshire Police safety camera van, whilst riding his Yamaha R1 motorbike along the B6479 at Selside near Ribblehead,  a road with a 60 miles per hour limit

“Radical” review of mental health beds in Harrogate, but all could go

Tees, Esk and Wear NHS FT says that Harrogate has a higher level of mental health admission and there is now an opportunity for a radical change following a review.

Sarah Gill, Locality Manager, Tees, Esk and Wear NHS FT, spoke at the Harrogate Area Committee today (15 March 2018). She said that they had pressed “pause” on the plans for a new-build facility on Beckwith Head Road, while they undertook a review.
