Light aircraft collision -Inlgeborough

North Yorkshire Police were informed at just at 9.18pm yesterday (Monday 21 March) that a Cessna light aircraft had made a forced landing between Wham and Rathmell.

As a result of the crash the 55-year-old man from Blackpool, who was the pilot, suffered minor injuries and a 31-year-old man from Blackburn, who was the only passenger, suffered a broken nose and ankle were transported from the scene by members of the local cave rescue team. Both men were taken by ambulance to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment.

The Civil Aviation Authority and Air Accident Investigation Branch have been of the incident.
