No injuries after vehicle drives into school building

Emergency Services attended a minor single-vehicle collision reported at 8.52am today (Wed 21 Nov 2018).

It occurred in the car park at the Aspine Park Academy, Wetherby Road, Knaresborough and involved a white VW Passat estate car which crashed into a wall of the building causing damage to the brick work.

The driver, a 40-year-old local woman and five-year-old girl passenger, were checked over by paramedics but were not believed to be injured.

Fire and rescue also attended and they arranged for a structural engineer to attend regarding the damage to the building. No-one was injured inside the academy.
