Saturday 13 September 2014 will see the annual Open Day for the Pinewoods Conservation Group.
This year’s event plans to be the largest event yet to be held within The Pinewoods sponsored again by Harrogate Audi.
Opening at 11am until 3pm the main attractions will be owl flying displays and dog agility demonstrations.
There will also be a raffle to be drawn by Andrew Jones MP with prizes including a free car service, a free valet, an Audi watch, a Bettys gift set and a RHS family voucher. As well as a number of games, gift and craft stalls there will be opportunity to drive a mini-digger supplied by The HACS Group, climb one of the famous Pine trees and play on the bouncy castle.
There will also be a dedicated picnic area with food being cooked by 20th Scouts with ice creams, cakes and drinks available for purchase on the day.
PCG Secretary Michelle Whitfield-Speed said: Our Open Day is always our main event of the year. It originally started to showcase the work undertaken by the Pinewoods Conservation Group but has evolved into a wider event encouraging people to come and enjoy the Pinewoods and the attractions on offer.
Committee member Janine Clark added: We have taken on board the feedback from last year’s event and added more stalls, attractions and a picnic area. We would encourage people to come and spend the day. Bring a picnic or buying the food on offer at the event.
Funds raised on the day will help fund planned improvements to The Pinewoods during 2015.
