An L of a mistake for a signwriter

A village hall has been left red-faced after signwriters have made an L of a mistake.

Villagers and local business owners in Pannal near Harrogate were only alerted to the L-ementary mistake this week. One business owner said, “I have looked at that sign day in and day out yet never noticed the mistake”The question that people are now asking is how long the sign has been like that!

It has certainly put Pannal on the map, perhaps for the wrong reason.
