Zombie film maker causes 999 police response

An amateur film maker caused a 999 response from North Yorkshire Police in Harrogate today (3 January 2013).

At around 3.22pm a local resident reported in seeing four teenagers armed with an axe with one male lying on the floor covered in blood, near the Prince of Wales Mansions, on York Place.

A spokesperson from North Yorkshire Police said that around 7 officers attended the scene, but found no sign of a victim.

They then started a door to door search in the area and 4:05pm police knocked on the door of a house and were met by a teenager covered in fake red blood, who said they had been making a Zombie film.
