Knife Point Robbery- Barnbow Social Club.
Police are appealing for information after the Barnbow Social Club on Manston Lane was robbed during the early hours of Sunday morning (22 May 2011).
Officers were called to the scene at 01.19 after three masked men entered the premises and threatened five members of staff (two females and three males).
During the incident staff were sprayed with what is believed to have been some form of pepper spray and threatened with a knife.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured but one male member of staff did require hospital treatment for the effects of the gas.
The suspects are thought to have left the area in a dark coloured vehicle which travelled up Manston Lane towards Crossgates.
CCTV has been seized from the scene and is being examined by detectives
A considerable quantity of cash was taken during the robbery.
