World Book Day Celebrations at Tiny Teapots

2 March 2017

Children aged 5 and under are having lots of literary fun today, celebrating their favourite stories for World Book Day.

Staff and youngsters at Tiny Teapots Private Day Nursery in Harrogate came dressed as their favourite characters, and brought their favourite books in to nursery to share with their friends.

All kinds of exciting characters are celebrating at the nursery today; with Goldilocks, Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, Elsa and Anna and superheroes all in attendance.

Tracy Hornby, Nursery Manager at Tiny Teapots Private Day Nursery said: World Book Day is a fantastic way to make books even more exciting for the children, and we were absolutely thrilled with the amazing costumes our little ones wore to nursery. We’d like to say a big thank you to all of our families for helping the children to pick out their costumes, and helping us to make literature fun.

It’s so important for children to develop a love of reading at a young age, which is why we like to make books fun for our little ones. By the time the children leave our pre-school to go to big school, we aim for them to have developed a skill and passion for reading that we hope will continue throughout their lives.
