Knaresborough pool to re-open after technical fault forced closure

Knaresborough Pool will reopen on Saturday 1 August 2015 following the completion of repair work.

The pool was forced close after an extractor fan on a boiler became faulty. Council contractors have been working to resolve the problem and the pool will re-open at 7.30am on Saturday.

Knaresborough Pool offers a range of activities including aqua babes, family swims, 50 plus, aquafit, swimming lessons, adult only sessions, children’s pool parties and a water slide.

Councillor Stanley Lumley, Harrogate Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Sport said:

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to users of the swimming pool by the closure.

The safety of our customers and employees is of paramount importance.

We have been working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

We know that swimming is extremely popular during the summer holidays and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy the fantastic facilities at Knaresborough Pool.
