Harrogate Hotel du Vin has a new general manager and head chef.
Head chef David Hilditch has worked as sous chef at Hotel du Vin Harrogate for the last year. He has previously worked across the Malmaison Group alongside the group executive chef where he advised on pastry techniques and menu development.
David said: I am delighted to have been promoted to the position of head chef and I am really looking forward to working with the new team at Harrogate. Our restyled menu takes us back to our bistro roots. We are passionate about accessible good food and we encourage local people to come in and let us surprise them.
Also new to the team is hotel manager Steven Hodgkinson. Steven has extensive management experience with the Hotel du Vin group and joins the hotel after successfully improving the fortunes of the York hotel.
Steven said: I am thrilled to be joining our Harrogate Hotel which has long been a firm favourite of mine. The bistro is at the heart of the hotel and David is the perfect person to revamp it with the help of our enthusiastic team. Hotel du Vin has a reputation nationally for a commitment to doing the simple things well and my focus now is on putting customer service first. I want to encourage the locals to treat the hotel as their own and enjoy our new menu with friends either indoors or out – in our newly refurbished sunny courtyard.
