Stone Buddha stolen from Harrogate garden

A large ornament has been stolen from a front garden in Harrogate.

The solid stone Buddha statue, which was imported from Bali and is worth £2000, was taken from a property on East Parade sometime between 10 June and 24 June 2013.

Officers believe that due to the size and weight of the statue it would have taken around four people to lift it.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident or has been offered the item for sale, is urged to come forward.

If you can help officers with their enquiries, please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Harrogate CID.
