Budding entrepreneurs from the Harrogate Ladies’ College Business School, recently opened its doors to self-made multi-millionaire and inspirational icon, Deirdre Bounds.
Fresh from an appearance on ITV’s Daybreak, Deirdre launched the HLC Careers Talks programme, designed to give pupils an insight into various careers from talented industry experts.
The presentation focused on the challenges of setting up a business, the importance of an original idea and the need to form a passionate approach and a good sense of humour.

Deirdre Bounds was the perfect candidate to launch our Careers Talks Programme as an influential Yorkshire based businesswomen. The fact that Deirdre started her own business from a bedsit in Leeds is in itself inspiring.
The Business School and its pupils are now looking forward to the next series of presentations from key speakers in sectors ranging from Law, Retail and International Volunteer Work.
