The Harrogate International Centre (HIC) has appointed two new staff members, Tracey Garrett and Rebecca Turnbull, to strengthen its sales and marketing team.

Angus Houston, director of the HIC said: “We welcome the new members to HIC’s dynamic team. Both Tracey and Rebecca have a wide range of experience and we look forward to their influence and dynamism in promoting HIC. They join at a hugely exciting phase in our development, just as our £11 million capital investment is underway which will see the opening of two new exhibition halls. It is a challenging time for the event industry as the market looks fiercely competitive. We are confident that the investment in our sales and marketing team will pay dividends as we look forward to an exciting future in the business.”
Tracey will be the centre’s new Marketing and Communications Manager and will be responsible for promoting HIC. She has more than 10 years of communication experience. On her appointment Tracey said: “This is an exciting time to join HIC as the new exhibition halls are being built. There is a lot of potential from a marketing and PR point of view and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and contributing to the expansion of the business.”
Rebecca Turnbull has taken the on the role of corporate sales executive in the Kudos catering team. She joins from the supermarket giant ASDA and has experience organising large events across the UK. Rebecca said: “I’m looking forward to working with a passionate team as they take the HIC to the next stage in its long history.”
