Harrogate Philharmonic Orchestra Spring Concert

16 February 2026

Harrogate Philharmonic Orchestra will host their Spring Concert on Saturday 21 February 2026 at 7.30pm from St Mark’s Church, Harrogate.

It will be an evening of contrasts, from the tender, luminous opening of Mahler’s Blumine to the sweeping powers of Elfrida’s Andree’s second symphony. Hear the double bass step into the spotlight in a striking, melodic and jazzy concerto played by virtuosic player and composer Pietro Lusvardi.

They are honoured that Pietro Lusvardi will be our soloist. He is an outstanding musician and composer and has travelled the world as a freelance player and as part of the ensemble Gatto Marte which he founded. He now lives in the UK and has worked with many orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra and Northern Ballet. He also teaches at York and Durham Universities.
