Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation continues Healthy Holiday Activities in Summer 2022

Once again Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation will be working with NYT (North Yorkshire Together) across the Summer Holidays providing fun and engaging activities.
A variety of sports and alternative provisions will be delivered through the NYT FEAST funding, where young people who receive benefits related free school meals will be able to attend the activity courses free of charge and will also be provided with a lunch time meal.

We will be returning to Nidderdale Leisure Centre for two weeks during the school summer holiday period, the first week taking place from Monday 1st – Thursday 8th August and returning on Monday 15th – Thursday 18th August.

There will be an array of fun and engaging multisports activities for children aged 5-12 within the Nidderdale and surrounding areas, combined with informative bite size healthy lifestyle sessions that aim to develop new skills, build confidence, positive relationships with other and creating new experiences for all participants.

With the success of our sessions over Easter we will also be launching a brand new session, in a new area for Summer 2022. Partnering with another local charity Inspire Youth to provide football and alternative opportunities to the young people of Boroughbridge and surrounding areas. Our sessions will take place from Monday 8th – Thursday 11th August at Boroughbridge High School.
The sports activities will be led by Harrogate Town Community Foundation’s qualified and experienced coaches and will include skill development sessions, as well as small sided games.

The alternative activities will be led by Inspire Youth and participants will have access to plenty of opportunities and activities to take part in either within the mobile youth base or outside.
These will include a selection of arts and crafts, team building activities and challenges.

Any young people who are receive benefits related free school meals will be able to attend any of the above activity courses free of charge and will also be provided with a lunch time meal.
