Man receives fractured arm following accident at Morrisons factory near Knaresborough

On 18 July 2018, the ambulance service attended the WM Morrisons factory at Flaxby, near to Knaresborough.

A man had received injuries while cleaning a machine at the plant. He was subsequently taken to Harrogate hospital by land Ambulance for treatment for a fractured arm.

 

A Morrisons spokesperson said: 

Our investigation found that the fully trained colleague ignored our strict health and safety procedure for cleaning a machine. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance with a broken arm.

He is now making a good recovery and will be fully retrained on making his return to work.

 

A HSE spokesperson said:

HSE is aware of the incident and making enquiries.
