Top Harrogate choir to give festive show at Leeds Town Hall

4 December 2015

One of Yorkshire’s most famous community choirs will perform a festive spectacular at Leeds Town Hall this December.

More than 300 members of Harrogate-based Rock Up and Sing! will take to the stage on Sunday, December 13, accompanied by a live band. The programme will include their wide repertoire of rock and pop hits, as well as familiar Christmas songs – and a few surprises along the way.

The event will support children’s charity Candlelighters, which looks after youngsters and their families who are being treated for cancer at Leeds hospitals.

Choir director Rhiannon Gayle said:

We’re really excited about our Christmas concert at Leeds Town Hall, in aid of Candlelighters.

It’s an absolutely stunning venue and the acoustics are excellent, so our choir members will be giving their all to raise the roof – and lots of cash! We’ve all been working really hard for weeks to put together the perfect programme for the occasion.

Our youth choir will be performing some of their songs, and will join the adult choirs on stage for a very special finale which we hope will leave the audience feeling really festive by the end of the night.
