No soggy bottoms as Cake and Bake show heads to Harrogate

The Cake & Bake Show is an experiential live event for baking and cake fanatics and it’s coming for the first time in Harrogate this year. The show at the Harrogate International Centre will host a mix of live demonstrations, celebrity speakers, market stands, live competitions and so much more.

Those with cake cravings or a passion for pastry can take classes, attend demonstrations and browse the hundreds of stands offering baking equipment and latest sugarcraft supplies.

TV Chef Rosemary Shrager, said:

I’m tremendously excited to be part of the Cake & Bake Show family and coming to Harrogate is an extra thrill because I lived in Yorkshire for so many happy years.

I cannot wait, the atmosphere at the shows is always so exciting and it will be wonderful to be able to meet so many baking enthusiasts – so come along and say hello.

So, whether you’re an amateur enthusiast looking for a fun family activity, a home baker for some helpful tips or a sugar-crafter on the hunt for the latest equipment, the Cake & Bake Show will give you enough ideas on everything baking fans could need. Experts to enthusiasts alike will come together at the Cake & Bake Show in Harrogate for three days of guaranteed eating, encouragement, education and entertainment.

The 2015 Cake & Bake begins at the Harrogate International Centre from 19-21 June

‘Honorary’ Yorkshire woman, Rosemary Shrager will be joining the nation’s favourite baking stars including Eric Lanlard, John Whaite, Lisa Faulkner and Phil Vickery.   Yorkshire baking fans will be served up an array of delicious treats including live demonstrations with the nationals favourite baking celebrities, skills classes, market stands, sugar crafting, live competitions, book signings, plus all the latest baking trends and tools!

Simon Kent, director of HIC Yorkshire, added:

Cake & Bake 2015 is a great show to have on Harrogate’s calendar of summer events. It promises to be a vibrant event with lots going on and we are expecting a good turn-out of food lovers making their way to Harrogate for the range of activities and famous cookery experts.

If baking is all about having a go and having some fun then Harrogate is exactly where you can do just that at the Cake and Bake Show.

The event will feature:

  • Gregg Wallace: Television presenter and foodie king (and Strictly Come Dancing survivor..!
  • Aaron Craze: Junior Bake-Off presenter and children’s television favourite
  • Brendan Lynch: Great British Bake Off finalist from Series Three

There are lots of exciting new features this year, including a Super Cake & Bake Theatre:  a free, super-sized baking theatre, with a programme of  demos from some of the nation’s biggest baking stars.  There is  a range of exciting activities for cake experts and baking enthusiasts to hone their skills even further in 3 Classrooms:  Decorating, Baking and Tasting.
