Harrogate International Youth Festival gets ready for music and dance over Easter

HIYF 2014 will take place from 18 April 2014 to 24 April 2014 and as always it will deliver highly anticipated performances from local and international groups at some of Yorkshire’s finest venues.

A variety of musical and dance performances will be performed at a number of venues including the stunning Royal Hall, Harewood House, Fountains Abbey, Ripon Cathedral, Newby Hall and RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.

This year, the festival now in its 41st year will include the ever-popular Easter Parade which brings Harrogate’s streets to life on the morning of 19 April, and will see all international and local performers come together for the first time.

Since its inception, the event has hosted more than 30,000 youth performers from the local area and the far reaches of the globe. This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet with bands from Canada, Africa, Russia and Germany as well as a host of local and regional talent.

Evening of Choral and Orchestral Music – Ripon Cathedral at 19.30 This will include a combined choir piece, from a collaboration between Africa New Life Children’s Choir and St Aidan’s Church of England High School.

Wednesday 23 April

Grand Finale Concert – The Royal Hall at 19.00
