The Harrogate Tigers Baseball Club gears up for the 2014 season

2 January 2014

The Harrogate Tigers have currently scheduled indoor “Open” training sessions starting on Sunday 12 January 2013 and running through until 30 March 2013.

Coaching Staff will be offering basic instructions on throwing, fielding, hitting and base running and are CRB checked.

The Tigers are looking to promote Baseball in the local community and North Yorkshire while recruiting new players and volunteers to help run our youth and adult teams. They are a Community Based Sports Club that is open to everyone from 5 years old to enjoy an alternative sport in a safe, friendly environment.

They are always looking for new players to join our club and experience is not required. There are spaces for new players to join the 2 Adult teams and the Youth program with age groups between 5-9 years, 10-13 years and 14-16 years old.

The Adult season runs from April through September and they play on Sundays. The youth program is new and they also intend to start a 9-13 team and schedule friendly games throughout the spring and summer. All youth games will be held on Saturdays.

The baseball club is also making contact with local schools and planning to start a school league to compete either after school or on Saturday’s. If you think your school would be interested then please contact them.

Masa-action

Lessons run from 11am – 2pm at the Harrogate High School Sports Hall, HG1 4AP.

The cost is £3 youth and £5 adult each per session to cover hire fees.
