Appeal for witnesses to A59 collision

Harrogate police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A59 between Harrogate and Skipton.

The collision happened at 8.25am on Wednesday 20 November 2013, at the top of Beamsley Hill, just past the point where three lanes converge into two.

A black Land Rover Freelander travelling towards Harrogate, was in collision with a blue Mazda travelling in the opposite direction.

The Mazda driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries and the woman driver of the Land Rover sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and to anyone who saw either of the vehicles travelling along the A59 prior to the crash.
