71-year-old pedestrian injured in road collision in Harrogate

Police are investigating a road traffic collision in Harrogate involving a man and a car.

It happened on Hookstone Drive, near the end of Wayside Avenue, at about 5.30pm on Friday 15 November 2013.

A 71-year-old local man suffered two broken legs and a head injury. He was taken by ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary. His condition is described as “stable”.

The car involved was a silver five-door Vauxhall Corsa.

Witnesses are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Steven Wood or Harrogate Road Policing Group.
