MP takes the temperature of local business

30 October 2013

Following good news on the economy locally and nationally Andrew Jones MP is taking the temperature of Harrogate, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge’s economy.

The MP has launched an online business survey which takes an in-depth look at the position of local businesses and the prospects for future business growth in our area. The survey also asks businesses what support they need to grow.

Launching the survey, Mr Jones commented:

Before becoming an MP I spent 25 years in business so I understand the importance of creating an environment in which businesses can thrive. Businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and important to our local area. Ensuring businesses across Harrogate, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge thrive is one of my top priorities.

That’s why I am running a business survey. I want the views of local businesses to be heard. The results will be used to analyse how businesses in Harrogate and Knaresborough are performing and what more can be done to support them. I will be speaking to the local councils, other authorities and government about the issues raised although individual business details will remain anonymous.
