Crochet Camp is coming to Harrogate

22 August 2026

On the weekend of 4 September 2026, Crochet Camp is coming to the Harrogate area.

It’s a first-of-its-kind event bringing together crochet enthusiasts, independent businesses, makers and creative people for a weekend centred around crafting, community and creativity.

Lucy Hart of Crochet Camp Yorkshire:

What makes the event particularly special is its strong local focus. Rather than being simply a craft event, Crochet Camp has been created to support and showcase independent businesses across Harrogate and York, giving local makers and small businesses the opportunity to be part of something that brings people into the area and encourages them to discover and support local businesses.

Crochet itself is also enjoying a huge resurgence, with people of all ages discovering the joy of making things by hand. We’re hoping to create something that is as much about people and community as it is about crochet — bringing strangers together, giving people a chance to learn something new, and celebrating the brilliant independent businesses and creative talent we have locally.

This is the first event of its kind and has been designed specifically with the local independent business community in mind.

Lucy added:

If this camp is successful we’d love to run it again next year and hopefully make Harrogate the home of Crochet Camp!

The camp is taking part at The Cud Life campsite in Killinghall, and the workshop hosts and sponsors are local Harrogate, small, independent businesses.
