A 14-year old boy has been seriously injured in a traffic incident.
It occurred at 4.25pm on Thursday 21 March 2013, outside the main gates of the Menwith Hill airbase on the outskirts of Harrogate.
The collision involved a boy from the Barnoldswick area of Lancashire, who was a pedestrian and a coach.
As a result of the incident the boy suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where he currently remains in a critical but stable condition.
The road was closed for approximately five hours following the collision.
I need to speak to anyone who may have been at the scene and ask that they contact the police if they haven’t already done so.
