Harrogate author announces signing

Harrogate author Amy Keen, has announced she will be holding a book signing at the James Street branch of Waterstones on 2nd March from 11am.

Amy will be signing copies of Embers; her debut novel published through Fisher King Publishing (FKP); giving fans their first opportunity to come along and get a signed copy, as well as encouraging others interested in the Young Adult Paranormal genre to find out more about the book.

Embers-OFC-FinalEmbers is the first in a trilogy; all of which are scheduled for release through FKP. Ashes, the second book is out this spring so it is the perfect time to catch up with Embers ahead of the sequel’s launch.

The novel is aimed at teen readers and focuses on the first-person narrative of Scarlett Roth; an eighteen year old girl whose life is upturned when she moves to Salem. Battling life in a strange place and the onset of terrifying visions; Scarlett struggles to come to terms with her powers and the secrets she uncovers in her hunt for answers.

Amy Keen said:

I am so excited to have an opportunity to hold a signing at Waterstones and I am really looking forward to meeting some more readers.

Embers sheds light on the reality that for Scarlett; ‘the witch trials aren’t over – they’ve evolved’.

Amy studied Journalism and International Relations at the University of Lincoln before returning to Harrogate and beginning a career in Public Relations. She has been writing short stories and developing novel themes since her childhood and started Embers, the first in a proposed trilogy – The Foresight Series – in 2009.

Waterstones bookseller Dani Chaplin was one of the first people to read the book and she said:

Embers is a brilliant novel that caused me to break out in shivers at times but that I absolutely loved from start to end!
