Knaresborough in Bloom said a big “thank you” to Knaresborough Lions recently for a Diamond Jubilee Grant of £750. This is to help to pay for ten new Amberol planters around the town which will enable Knaresborough in Bloom

to continue to provide high quality floral features around the town. Chair Christine Willoughby commented “We have a number of old planters around the town which are coming to the end of their useful life and this grant from the Knaresborough

Lions will allow us to start replacing these planters. The new planters are very tough plastic but look like oak and we hope they will be very long lasting. The Lions have supported us in the past and I am delighted that they have been able to support us again.”

The new planters will be making their appearance in the town in the spring.
