Local decorating centre appeals to sports clubs to apply for paint donations

1 July 2012

With 2012 being a huge year for sport, Dulux Decorator Centres is keen to support grassroots teams in Harrogate by offering a fresh lick of paint to brighten up their facilities.

If a local football team’s changing rooms are more Conference than Champions League, or a gymnastics club’s walls are more worn out than the balance beam, then why not nominate them to receive the paint donation.

As part of its Colouring the Community campaign, Dulux Decorator Centres is calling for all local sports groups across Harrogate that may need help to makeover their premises and inject a bit of colour into their club, to step forward and show the painting and decorating specialist why they deserve a colourful paint donation.

Each successful sports team applicant will each receive a paint donation worth £400, to spend on paint and materials at its local Dulux Decorator Centres in Harrogate, situated on Claro Road, to help towards transforming its facilities and breathe a new lease of life in to the club.

As part of its commitment to helping charities and community groups across the UK and Ireland, Dulux Decorator Centres launched its Colouring the Community scheme in 2000, and since then, the painting and decorating specialist has donated over £200,000 worth of products.

The appeal is open to all active sports groups and interested parties can enter by visiting www.duluxdecoratorcentre.co.uk/community/index.jsp

Jeff Coates, manager at Dulux Decorator Centres’ Harrogate store, commented:

This is a great chance for local sports teams in the area to get a helping hand from Dulux Decorator Centres.

The Colouring the Community scheme will enable local sporting teams to receive paint, materials and advice, to help them makeover their premises. I would encourage anyone who needs a helping hand to get in touch and see if we can help.
