Andy, 51, who lives in Harrogate, is known for his gritty determination, and one of his current ambitions is to help Yorkshire businesses burn more brightly, and triumph over the challenges of the recession.
Andy completed his ultra-marathon challenge despite running in severe pain for 18 days with a torn Achilles tendon. He will share his experience when he discusses “Mental Toughness” strategies for overcoming the pain of tough conditions at the Be World Class business conference in Leeds on October 25.
The conference is spearheaded by Harrogate-based Be World Class founder and host Simon Hartley, a leading sports psychologist, performance coach and author. It will help Yorkshire’s entrepreneurs and business leaders to adopt the winning strategies used by top sports people to help their companies leapfrog the competition and boost the region’s economy.
It’s so important to set your goals high and remain focussed on them – to move steadily forward with purpose, passion and persistence to what you want to achieve no matter how painful it may be along the way!
