Harrogate Borough Council has elections each year (for three years) when a third of the council is up for election. Harrogate Borough Councillors are elected for a four-year team. In the fourth year, North Yorkshire County Council holds its elections

The Count
The verification and counting will take place from 9.30 am on Friday, 4 May 2012 at Harrogate International Centre. It is expected that the count for the Borough Council seats will be finished by lunchtime. There are a number of parish council elections being held as well and the verification and count will also take place on 4 May.
