Harrogate based Stowe Family Law Recruitment Team nominated for a FIRM Award

24 December 2018

The Recruitment Team at Stowe Family Law, the UK’s largest specialist family law firm, is celebrating making the finalist list for the Recruitment Team of the Year award at The FIRM Awards, a national recruitment awards.

Stowe, whose Head Office is in Harrogate was founded in Leeds in 1982. Since then it has grown to 18 offices based across the UK including five in Yorkshire: Harrogate, Leeds, Wetherby, Beverley and Ikley.

Stowe, Head of Talent Acquisition, Kat Fors said:

I am delighted that the Recruitment Team has reached the finalist list for a FIRM award. Here at Stowe, we have a unique recruitment concept for a specialist family law of our size in that all roles are dealt with directly by the in-house team.

Adopting this approach and building the department up from scratch has allowed us to create a bespoke recruitment process that identifies the most appropriate candidates in terms of experience, skills and cultural fit.

Stowe Family Law CEO Charles Hartwell said:

Everyone at Stowe is thrilled the Recruitment Team has been shortlisted a FIRM Award. This recognition is thoroughly deserved. Recruitment in the law industry is dominated by agencies and most lawyers are used to using these to apply for new positions.

We are trying to change how the law market works and since we launched the in-house team in September 2017, we have not used a single agency for our law recruitment.

The FIRM awards celebrate the very best of in-house recruitment excellence, innovation and best practice, setting the standard for in-house recruiters. The award ceremony will be held on 21st March at the Connaught Rooms in London.
