On Bed race day in Knaresborough I will be doing a 12-hour DJ set at Six Poor Folk.
Any contribution big or small would be much appreciated.
I will be DJing on Bed Race day from 11am till 11pm, and playing a full range of house music classics from clubs such as Ark, The Gallery, Speed Queen & Up Yer Ronson in Leeds. Big 90’s Hacienda favourites. Some Gatecrasher trance classics & plenty of big Ibiza anthems.
As chef who likes to DJ in his spare time I’ve always liked the idea of doing a long set where I can play a wider range of house music, which is my big passion (as well as cooking !)
I DJ’d last year for bed race but just from 5pm -11pm & it was an incredible evening with such a good atmosphere.
The idea this year is that I will build up the atmosphere as the day goes on. Starting with some nice chilled afternoon Ibiza tunes leading into some banging, hands in the air 90’s anthems.
Entry is free & people can come & go as they please, although the evening always fills up quick.

Saint Michael’s has always had a special place in my heart, looking after many friends & family in their final days, especially my Nana, June.
It is also the same for Gilly one of the owners at Six Poor Folk as they cared for his brother so well in his final days.
