Rossett School Awarded Inclusive School Award

3 September 2025

Rossett School is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Inclusive School Award
by the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM), in recognition of its unwavering commitment to
inclusion, wellbeing, and support for every student.

The Inclusion Quality Mark or IQM is a standard for assessing schools against a nationally recognised framework on Inclusion.

The award encompasses equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background.

The award follows a rigorous assessment process during which the school was praised for its warm and inclusive ethos, with the assessor highlighting a “strong sense of camaraderie” and exceptional staff-student relationships.

Key strengths noted in the report included the school’s outstanding SEND provision,
targeted nurture groups, personalised learning and wellbeing support, and a curriculum that actively tackles discrimination and promotes diversity.

Headteacher at Rossett School, Mr Tim Milburn, said:

As a school that commits to success for everyone, it is really important that we keep reviewing how inclusive we are.

The Inclusion Quality Mark Award is a robust framework and process which has given us a useful assessment of our school.

We are delighted to have achieved the award and the recognition that we are an inclusive school. It reflects the care and dedication of our colleagues as well as the strength of our whole community.

This award affirms Rossett School’s belief that inclusion is not a one-off initiative but a
continuous journey, one that is embedded in every aspect of school life.
