Harcourt Gardens care home on Harcourt Road in Harrogate is hosting a 1950s-themed community food festival on Saturday, 8th August, starting at 2:30 pm.
The event welcomes local residents, neighbours, and families for an afternoon focused on food and community connection.

The festival features decorations created by the residents, including traditional 1950s outfits, recycled papier-mâché lanterns, and handmade bunting. The afternoon schedule includes:
- International Street Food: A selection of global dishes prepared by the kitchen team, inspired by the residents’ cultural backgrounds and favourite recipes.
- Entertainment: A two-hour interactive reptile show.
- Games: A tombola, a raffle, and a hook-a-duck stall.
The event aims to bring different generations together, allowing residents to share their favourite recipes and traditions with the wider local community.
