Harrogate’s Robinsons Facilities Services Set to Double Turnover and Create Local Jobs Following Six-Figure Investment

2 June 2026

The significant funding package comes from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II) – FW Capital Debt Finance. It marks the third time the Harrogate-based business has successfully secured backing from FW Capital since 2020, cementing a long-term partnership that has fueled the company’s rapid expansion.

The fresh influx of capital will be used to support the firm’s ambitious five-year growth strategy, invest heavily in local apprenticeships, and create new roles to meet a surge in regional demand.

Robinsons Facilities Services, which traces its local roots back to the 1960s as part of the Robinsons Group before becoming independent in 2013, has grown into a major regional employer. The firm specializes in hard facilities management, keeping commercial buildings safe and compliant across heating, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

Luke Kitchen, Managing Director at Robinsons Facilities Services, said:

We’ve just completed a five-year plan that saw the business treble in size, and this latest investment will support our next phase as we focus on doubling turnover over the next five years.

As compliance requirements become more complex, property managers and building owners are increasingly looking for a partner they can rely on to take full responsibility.

The company has seen a major expansion of its operations over the last year following its high-profile acquisition of Bensons Gas Engineering. That move brought 400 additional client sites into its care, pushing the total number of commercial properties managed by the Harrogate firm past 1,500 across Yorkshire and the North of England.

Lindsey McMenamin, Portfolio Manager at FW Capital, added:

Robinsons Facilities Services is a prime example of a well-established Yorkshire business with a clear vision and a strong management team. We are delighted to support Robinsons Facilities Services as they continue their growth journey, demonstrating how flexible access to finance can support ambitious regional businesses.

The funding forms part of the wider £660m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, which aims to boost smaller businesses and drive economic growth across the North of England.
