Police have arrested and bailed five people following a report of a disturbance in Harrogate.
In the early hours of Friday 15 May 2026, police were called to reports that a number of people were making threats to the occupant of a property in the Bilton area.
Four suspects were arrested initially, with the fifth refusing to come out of a property and making threats. Police negotiators were called to the scene and at around 10.30am on 15 May, the fifth suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Police believe the incident is targeted and there are no threats to the wider community.
The arrested suspects include four men aged 39, 37, 30, and 20, and a woman aged 19, all arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in police custody at this time.
