Return of the region’s Real Markets

3 February 2026

February sees the return of Harrogate’s regular markets from Real Markets, plus a new one is launched in a family friendly North Yorkshire location.

From the mid-week Harrogate Farmers Market, operating on Cambridge St for the last 20 years, to the monthly makers market at Ripley Castle.

There’s also Harrogate Makers Market, a fabulous market on the third Sunday of the month on Cambridge Street profiling the region’s artists and creatives and a new market at Yolk Farm, Minskip in Boroughbridge, there is something for everyone,

After a fantastic Christmas market last year, Yolk Farm is launching a monthly market on the second Sunday of the month in their barn and surrounding area. Featuring artists, makers and bakers from around the region, the first of their free monthly markets takes place on Sunday 8 February.

Harrogate Farmers Market has been serving the town for over 20years, offering breads, cheese, fruit and veg, plants, pies, cakes, curry sauces, honey, art, pottery, eggs and so much more. Held on the second Thursday of the month all traders are Yorkshire based and independent, it returns on Thursday 12 February.

Harrogate Makers Market is also based on Cambridge Street and returns on Sunday 15 February. It is an initiative with Harrogate BID and runs on the third Sunday of the month, featuring local artists, jewellers, glass blowers, potters, candle makers, crochet, soap makers and loads more.

Ripley Castle hosts its market on the last Sunday of the month and will be back on Sunday 22 February. A stunning venue, this huge market features a wide mix of makers, bakers and creators. Customers will find incredible food and treats as well as unique crafts and makes from local talent. Visitors will also get free access to the gardens and grounds.

Lucy Allen, from Real Markets, the team behind the markets said:

We’d love the region to show some love for local this February and beyond. We have an incredible selection of stallholders at our markets who offer unique and beautifully crafted, grown, baked or made products. It really is something special to talk to the person behind the product and know your purchase is directly benefiting them.

Real Markets run a number of long-standing Yorkshire markets, including monthly markets and farmers’ markets in Ilkley, Grassington, Otley, Saltaire, Leeds, The Piece Hall Halifax, and Harrogate. The ethos of the markets is to support local, small, specialist and independent businesses to benefit the local community and help local producers thrive. In addition, a portion of profits is given away to local good causes such as Harrogate based Resurrection Bites, and Ripley Endowed CofE Primary School.
