Harrogate Theatre Choir’s recent performance at Wetherby Town Hall was a resounding success, attracting a full house for their afternoon concert which showcased a collection of songs from the West End. Enthusiastic applause filled the hall as the choir delivered inspiring medleys from much loved musicals including ‘Sweeney Todd’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Wicked’.
The grand finale, a powerful tribute to the 40th anniversary of ‘Les Misérables’, left the audience wanting more!
This concert was particularly significant as it marked the culmination of the choir’s own 15th birthday year, making the event all the more special for the audience and singers. Throughout this celebration year, the choir has supported a local charity for each one of its concerts, and this event was no exception.
The choir was thrilled to present a cheque for £400 to Rebecca Taylor, Regional Fundraiser at Martin House Children’s Hospice, a testament to the generosity of their wonderful audience. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who bought tickets, and who contributed so generously for their interval tea and home-made cakes!
