Masked men threaten 61-year-old with a knife during Richmond aggravated burglary

are appealing for witnesses and information following an aggravated at a property on Wellesleys Mews in Richmond at around 6.30am Wednesday 16 January 2019.

The victim, a 61-year-old man, contacted police to report two masked men had gained access to his property and threatened him with a knife. It is believed that the thieves left empty handed and made off from the property possibly in the direction of Quaker Lane.

The homeowner was left with small lacerations to his finger and toe and very shaken from the incident.

Both men are thought to be in their twenties, of thin build and were wearing black clothing, black shoes and had their faces concealed by a mask or knitted scarves.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed anything suspicious or anyone who lives in the area of Wellesleys Mews and Quaker Lane who may have CCTV footage is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Michele Fawcett of Hambleton and Richmond CID on 101.
