The Senior Partner of leading law firm McCormicks has been reappointed to the national sports dispute resolution body.

Peter McCormick, described recently as “the god of sports law” and “a giant in -related law” by leading legal guide the UK Legal 500, will be a member of the Sport Resolutions (UK) Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators for a further three-year term.

The appointment means that he will continue to Chair arbitrations. In addition he has been appointed to three expert panels within the organisation: Commercial; Professional Football; and Discipline and Integrity.

Sport Resolutions (UK) is an independent, not-for-profit, dispute resolution service for sport in the United Kingdom. Established by the main stakeholder groups in sport, it aims to provide an expert, speedy and cost-effective alternative to internal appeals processes and court-based litigation.

It provides sport-specific arbitration and mediation services and operates the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) and National Safeguarding Panel (NSP).
