Regus aims to relocate 70 businesses out of Harrogate with 11-days notice

27 October 2018

Over 70 businesses in Harrogate are to be left without offices in the town after they were told they need to leave the Copthall Tower Bridge flexible office space.

Regus wrote to the tenants on the 24 October 2018 telling them that they would need to leave  by the 4 November 2018.

Regus lease the building and cited reasons that their landlord had increase the rent on the property by 100% saying that it no longer made the operation commercially viable. They have been told they can be moved to other Regus sites in Yorkshire.

The tenant agreement says “In the event that the Provider is permanently unable to provide the services and accommodation(s) at the Centre stated in this agreement then this agreement will end and the Client will only have to pay monthly office fees up to the date it ends and for the additional services the Client has used”

Regus has declined to make contact with the Harrogate Informer, although they have received our communication.
