The team provides treatment in areas including shoulder impingement, shoulder instability, rotator cuff disorders, shoulder arthritis, shoulder ACJ pathology and upper limb sports injuries.

They also care for patients with shoulder fractures, elbow fractures, frozen shoulder, elbow arthritis, ulna nerve lesions and elbow instability.

Mr Copas said:

I am very pleased to have joined the team here. I am looking forward to continuing the development of the specialist shoulder and elbow service here at the Trust. Significant strides have been made with the service over the past few years and there is plenty of scope for this to continue further.

Patients give us very positive feedback about their care with us. This demonstrates what a quality service we provide and provides confidence to others that their experience with us will be a positive one.

People who would like to be seen by Mr Copas or Mr Talbot should make an appointment with their GP for a referral in the usual way.

As well as seeing patients at Harrogate District Hospital, the team also provides services in an outreach clinic at Alwoodley Medical Practice, Saxon Mount, Leeds, and at Yeadon Health Centre, 12 South View Road, Yeadon, Leeds.

Referrals from Leeds GPs are received following triage from the Leeds MSK service.
