Police were called at 11.50am today (2 February 2016) to a report that a VW Golf had left the road and hit a tree at Otley Road in Harrogate.
The two occupants of the car, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for about half an hour to allow recovery to take place.
The extent of any injuries is not currently known.
