Police have now spoken to a man pictured on CCTV in connection with an incident in which a laptop was taken from Subway in Leeds Road, Harrogate, on Wednesday 14 October 2015.
The man will face no further police action, as it is believed he made an innocent mistake.
The laptop has been recovered and will be returned to its rightful owner.
