Police issue formal appeal for witnesses to incident that left elderly man seriously injured

North Yorkshire Police have issued a formal appeal to an road incident that left an 83-year-old man seriously injured.

  • 1.40pm on 21 October 2015
  • Station Parade, close to the entrance to the bus station
  • Involving a pedestrian and a black VW Golf

The pedestrian was a man from Harrogate who needed to be airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Golf, an 81 year old man from Boroughbridge, was shaken but otherwise uninjured and is helping the police with their enquiries.
