FTAV sign-up as headline sponsor for the Harrogate Big Bike Bash

14 June 2015

Harrogate based FT Audio Visual Ltd (FTAV), has signed up as the headline sponsor for the inaugural Harrogate Big Bike Bash, taking place next weekend, 19 – 21 June.

The family run business is a leading supplier of entertainment and event technology across a wide range of markets including corporate and private events, music tours, sporting events as well as installation projects for smart home technology, theme parks and museums.

Commenting on their headline sponsorship, Rick Lawson, Managing Director of FTAV said:

We’re absolutely delighted and very proud to be supporting such a great event.

We’ve supplied the stage, sound and lighting solutions for many events locally and thought getting involved with the Harrogate Big Bike Bash was the ideal opportunity for us to give something back to the local community.

After the success of last year’s Tour de France Grand Depart and in particular the Harrogate stage, there is a great appetite for all things cycling and this is evident by the sheer number of people signing up to take part in the various elements of the event.

With such a great range of activities, spectacles and live entertainment showcasing some of the region’s best young talent in the event village, running alongside the crit racing, it’s destined to be one of the best family days out in the region.

The event has gained considerable interest from residents and visitors of Harrogate with the guided rides on Sunday now full and over 820 taking part in the Ride the Route on Saturday before the professional races start.

Commenting on FT Audio Visual’s support, Harrogate Borough Council Leader, Councillor Richard Cooper said:

Local businesses have really engaged with the Harrogate Big Bike Bash and we’re extremely grateful for FT Audio Visual’s support as the headline sponsor.

They are very well known throughout the local area and this event will no doubt prove a great platform for them to demonstrate their commitment to the town and the wider district.

The programme for the event village is looking very exciting, with many local bands providing entertainment throughout the weekend on the stage; coupled with local food and drink suppliers, local business stands, BMX stunt display, circus skills workshop, street performers and much more it’s gearing up to deliver what it was designed to do, be an event for everyone.
