Knaresborough’s Vital Network Solutions awarded special cloud computing accolade from Microsoft

29 October 2014

IT service provider Vital Network Solutions has been awarded a special accolade from Microsoft in recognition of its expertise in cloud computing.

The Knaresborough-based company has received the software giant’s new Small and MidMarket Cloud Solutions (SMCS) competency at silver level for its “consistent capability, expertise and commitment”.

The SMCS recognition also rewards Vital’s long-standing track record as a Microsoft cloud computing partner.

Lee Evans, managing director of Vital Network Solutions, said: This is great news for the company and it sends a hugely positive message to our customers that we have met what Microsoft calls the ‘performance thresholds’ in providing cloud computing services.

For several years we have been Microsoft Cloud Accelerate partners but this has now been replaced by the SMCS competency, so to be given immediate certification at this new level is a great reward for all our hard work.

The SMCS competency incorporates a greater hybrid and cloud focus than ever before, and is designed to help businesses such as Vital to combine these services with our expertise to ensure we have the most connected and comprehensive set of solutions to hand.

Vital Network Solutions was established in 1996 and provides IT solutions to business customers throughout Yorkshire advising, deploying and supporting Microsoft’s cloud and Office 365 solutions.

Last year Vital joined an elite group of only one per cent of global Microsoft partners, including just 300 in the UK, when it was awarded Microsoft’s Cloud Accelerate partnership status, which has now replaced by SMCS.
