Phil Fryer, local Frank Sinatra tribute swaps his trilby for a helmet

As the Tour De France approaches Phil swaps his Trilby for his helmet and cycles the 1st stage of the tour.

Following 120 miles cycling from Leeds around the beautiful Yorkshire dales finishing in Harrogate,  he got a taste of what all the great cyclist will be doing next month. Phil raised almost £1000 for MS (Multiple Sclerosis Society)

Phil has been raising money for Charities through his love of sport and cycling.

Phil said: I am proud to have had advice from Harrogate’s own Beryl Burton when training for the Lanzarote Ironman.

It was 2-years before she sadly left us,  she came to my house and told me how to prepare and train for such a long event, I am proud to have known her.

To end the Tour weekend with a high, Phil is to perform at the Harrogate Theatre, returning with a thrilling tribute to ol’ blue eyes himself.

He is accompanied by his band, he will transport you through the years of Sinatra’s classic swing and love songs on Monday 7 July 2014.

Phil said: No other performer of the 20th century had such a long and varied career as Frank Sinatra, with a voice and charisma which still holds a great appeal for so many.
