Update following Crimewatch feature of Harrogate aggravated burglary

For those of you following the aggravated at High Birstwith near which was featured on BBC’s Crimewatch on Monday 2 June 2014, below are calls received following broadcast:

Detective Inspector Andrea Kell, said: We have received some encouraging calls, particularly about the stolen jewellery. These will be followed up over the coming days.

On 6 December 2013, four masked men broke into the property at around 5.15pm and threatened a family with crowbars.

The men, who were of Asian appearance, took six shotguns, a rifle and a collection of expensive jewellery before leaving the scene in the family’s white Porsche 911, which they later abandoned on White Wall Lane, in Tang.

A reconstruction and by family members, including their teenage son, was featured in the programme which was broadcast on 2 June 14.
